Thank you for your interest in our online shop. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below, we provide detailed information on how we handle your data.
1. Access Data and Hosting
You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time a website is accessed, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file containing, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data), thereby documenting the access.
This access data is evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the website and improving our services. Pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our services, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. All access data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the website.
Hosting services provided by a third party
As part of processing on our behalf, a third-party provider supplies us with hosting and website display services. All data collected in connection with the use of this website or in forms provided for this purpose in the online shop, as described below, is processed on its servers. Processing on other servers only takes place within the scope described here.
This service provider is based in a country outside the European Union for which the European Commission has determined by decision that an adequate level of data protection exists.
2. Data Collection and Use for Contract Processing, Contact and Opening a Customer Account
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order or when contacting us (e.g. via a contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such because, in these cases, we require the data in order to process the contract or your enquiry, and without providing this information you cannot submit the order or enquiry. The data collected can be seen in the respective input forms. We use the data you provide pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR to process the contract and your enquiries.
If you have given your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR by choosing to open a customer account, we use your data for the purpose of opening the customer account.
Once the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, further processing of your data will be restricted and the data will be deleted after expiry of the retention periods required under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data beyond this scope where permitted by law and about which we inform you in this policy. You may delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message using the contact details described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
3. Data Disclosure
For the purpose of fulfilling the contract pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we disclose your data to the shipping company commissioned with delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods ordered. Depending on which payment service provider you select during the ordering process, we disclose the payment data collected for payment processing to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, where applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service provider. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider using your login details during the ordering process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this respect.
4. Email Newsletters and Postal Advertising
Email advertising with newsletter subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to regularly send you our email newsletter on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message using the contact details described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address from the recipient list unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use the data beyond this scope where permitted by law and about which we inform you in this policy.
Email advertising without newsletter subscription and your right to object
If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of goods or services and you have not objected to this, we reserve the right, on the basis of Section 7(3) UWG, to regularly send you offers by email for products from our range that are similar to those you have already purchased. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.
You may object to this use of your email address at any time by sending a message using the contact details described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the promotional email, without incurring any costs other than transmission costs at the basic rates.
Postal advertising and your right to object
In addition, we reserve the right to use your first and last name as well as your postal address for our own advertising purposes, for example to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. Pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.
5. Cookies and Web Analytics
To make your visit to our website more appealing, enable the use of certain functions, display suitable products or conduct market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages. Pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the optimised presentation of our services, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). You can find information about the storage period in the overview in your web browser’s cookie settings. You can configure your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or generally. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings. You can find these for the respective browsers at the following links:
If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analytics
If you have given your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics for the purpose of website analysis. The web analytics service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as cookies. The information automatically collected about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within Member States of the European Union or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is generally not merged with other Google data. Once the purpose no longer applies and we have stopped using Google Analytics, the data collected in this context will be deleted.
Where information is transferred to and stored on Google servers in the USA, the US company Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here. On the basis of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined that companies certified under the Privacy Shield provide an adequate level of data protection.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This prevents the collection of data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google.
As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click <a href="javascript:gaOptout()">this link</a> to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will be asked for your consent again.
Further information on Google’s use of personal data in accordance with Google’s EU User Consent Policy is available at the following link: https://business.safety.google/privacy/.
6. Online Marketing
Google Ads Remarketing
We use Google Ads to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. For this purpose, when you visit our website, Google sets a so-called remarketing cookie, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you have visited. Pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our website, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. Once the purpose no longer applies and we have stopped using Google Ads Remarketing, the data collected in this context will be deleted.
Further data processing only takes place if you have agreed with Google that your web and app browsing history may be linked to your Google Account and that information from your Google Account may be used to personalise advertisements that you see online. If, in this case, you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data in order to create target groups.
Google Ads is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated and operated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.de).
You can deactivate the remarketing cookie via this link. You can also obtain information about the use of cookies and adjust the relevant settings through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
Further information on Google’s use of personal data in accordance with Google’s EU User Consent Policy is available at the following link: https://business.safety.google/privacy/.
7. Social Media
Use of social plugins from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the Shariff solution
Our website uses social media buttons from social networks.
Pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our services, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. To improve the protection of your data when visiting our website, these buttons are not integrated into the website as unrestricted plugins, but only via an HTML link. This integration ensures that when you access a page on our website containing such buttons, no connection is initially established with the servers of the respective social network provider.
If you click one of the buttons, a new browser window opens and takes you to the website of the respective service provider, where you can, for example, use the Like or Share button, if necessary after entering your login details.
For information about the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers on their websites, as well as contact details, your rights in this regard and settings available to protect your privacy, please refer to the providers’ privacy policies:

Our online presence on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn
Our presence on social networks and platforms is intended to facilitate better and more active communication with our customers and interested parties. We use these platforms to provide information about our products and current special offers.
When you visit our social media profiles, your data may be automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes. So-called user profiles are created from this data using pseudonyms. These may be used, for example, to display advertisements within and outside the platforms that are presumed to correspond to your interests. Cookies are generally used on your device for this purpose. These cookies store visitors’ behaviour and users’ interests. Pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the optimised presentation of our services and effective communication with customers and interested parties, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. If the respective social media platform operators ask you for consent to data processing, for example by means of a checkbox, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1) lit. a GDPR.
Where the aforementioned social media platforms have their headquarters in the USA, the following applies: the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the USA. This is based on the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate for the respective company can be viewed here.
